Clement & Wynn was engaged by the Corporation
for Olympic Development in Atlanta (CODA) to serve as
the program manager and owner's representative on three
major streetscape improvements projects and one urban
park.
The streetscape improvements on Auburn Avenue ran from
Peachtree Street through the Martin Luther King, Jr.
Historic District to Randolph Street---approximately
1.3 miles. The scope included utility relocations, street
milling, roadway widening, new asphalt pavers, new sidewalks
and tree plantings, new street lighting, and installation
of benches, trash receptacles and other street furniture.
Clement & Wynn's streetscape projects included
Capitol Avenue along the Olympic Way from the State
Capital to Olympic Stadium--approximately 1.5 miles
over GA DOT, FwHA, Georgia Building Authority right-of-ways.
Other projects included the Federal Transit Administration-funded
Atlanta University Corridor, with a scope of work similar
to the Auburn Avenue project. All of the projects for
which C& W was responsible were completed on time.
